Alumna named to YOUNGA 2021
Megan A. Clancy, ’98, a Deaf actress in the Los Angeles area, reports that she has been named a Youth Delegate to YOUNGA 2021.
Megan says that she has a goal to improve equality for people who are Deaf and for those who have various disabilities in employment. “As one of the United States’ Youth Delegates, I want to see the disability community to be considered as part of diversity…I want to inspire youth to fight for equality to make this world a better place to live in.”
According to the , YOUNGA was created as a response to a call by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres to host the largest, most inclusive global dialogue on “the future we want” in commemoration of the U.N.’s 75th anniversary. The YOUNGA Forum will be held virtually this month.
Congratulations, Megan!
