Anthony S. Fauci, M.D., director of the National Institute on Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), who leads the nation鈥檚 response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Dr. Christopher J. Lebron, a professor at Johns Hopkins University, both during the just-concluded Faculty Development Week. Dr. Lebron is the author of The Making of Black Lives Matter: A Brief History of An Idea. Following his address, he, Dr. Elizabeth A. Moore, 鈥81, G-鈥94, & PhD 鈥11, Interim Chief Diversity Officer; and Franklin Jones Jr., 鈥17 & G-鈥18, a faculty member in the American Sign Language program, conducted a dialogue.

Faculty Development Week also included sessions with Dr. Jeffrey W. Lewis, 鈥76, Interim Provost; Dr. Khadijat K. Rashid, 鈥90, Interim Dean of the Faculty, and the five school leaders; Bendita Cynthia Malakia, an attorney with Hogan Lovells; customer service, technology, and library services training; and much more. Kudos to Dr. Teresa Blankmeyer Burke, Faculty Administrator for Faculty Development, and the staff of the Office of the Provost for their work in organizing the week-long virtual program.
