On Wednesday, September 14, the United Nations Secretariat hosted students, faculty, and staff from the International Development Master of Arts (IDMA) program at United Nations headquarters in New York. in the lead-up to International Week of the Deaf and the International Day of Sign Languages. The Secretariat coordinated a tour of the U.N. building, followed by a presentation on careers with the U.N., including the Young Professionals Programme (YPP) and internship opportunities. The trip to New York and the United Nations was extremely enriching and thought-provoking. It  also provided an opportunity to learn more about the U.N.鈥檚 diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility policies and practices.
