Overview

Public Affairs programs offer students a one-of-a-kind educational experience as students live and study in the nation鈥檚 capital. Students benefit from programs that have experience in advocating for the rights of deaf and hard of hearing communities. With numerous internship opportunities and comprehensive programs of study, students can join the workforce with the skills, experience, and confidence needed to become successful professionals.

Programs

Pre-Law

Gallaudet鈥檚 Pre-Law program provides specialized advising for students preparing for the LSAT and careers in the legal industry. Constitutional law, civil liberties, international laws and organizations, and debate are cornerstones of the pre-law program.

Opportunities

Public Affairs programs allow students to experience the professional world through internships and activities around Washington, D.C. Students will have gained experience working with deaf and hard of hearing communities and will have participated in several informal and formal events outside of the classroom. Gallaudet also encourages students to participate in organizations and events in the D.C. community.
