Denton Mallas, ’13 & G-’15, appeared on Season 8, Episode 4 of Netflix’s popular Queer Eye show last month. The show’s cast (the “Fab Five”) worked with Mallas to increase his self-confidence and give him a makeover. This episode was one of the most-watched of the current season.

Mallas, currently Athletic Director and Dean of Students at the Louisiana School for the Deaf in Baton Rouge, “talked up” the school, saying in an interview with Queer Eye grooming expert Jonathan van Ness, “Here, there are role models where the students can look up [to] and learn from those role models who are going through the same, or have gone through the same thing that they are experiencing.”
