Members of the privatedebate team traveled to Los Angeles two weeks ago for the St. Ignatius Debates at Loyola Marymount University. Debaters Thalia Guettler and Trent Mora debated how society ought to engage with individuals experiencing homelessness, and came away with several awards. Guettler placed third in the individual speaker rankings, and her group was a Jesuit Cup finalist. Mora鈥檚 group won the Jesuit Cup. About ten schools attended this competition.
