We know that Deaf students thrive in visually-oriented settings, and that our students need and value an ASL-vibrant environment. Our approach will be to prioritize face-to-face learning for our students, and a healthy and safe campus environment for everyone. To that end, the COVID-19 vaccine will be required for employees and students.

COVID-19 Vaccine 

Starting on August 16, privateand the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center will require all Gallaudet and Clerc Center employees, all new and returning Gallaudet students, and all Clerc Center students 18 years of age and older to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to be admitted to campus. All other community members — including Clerc Center students, ages 12 to 17 — are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated as well.

For Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå: 

• Registration is open for fall 2021 semester. Students should have received an email from the Registrar’s office with registration information. Most of the courses will be taught in person. Programs that are typically taught online, or designed to be, will continue to be online.
• Housing applications will be available in late May/early June. Students will receive an email from Residence Life. On-campus students will receive an appointment for residence hall check-in date/time to allow for safely distanced move-in.Ìý
• If you are fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival, you do not need to quarantine. If you are not fully vaccinated, you will need to quarantine for 10 days. More information is available on the Return to Campus website.Ìý
