Gallaudet has been in the news lately, and not just for Deaf U. President Cordano and undergraduate seniors Marlee Brambila and Sara Khan are quoted in a about deaf people and the COVID-19 pandemic. Says President Cordano, 鈥淥ne of our primary tools of resilience is to come together in our shared signing community at cultural events and gatherings to support and re-energize each other. Gathering and basking in our social and language vibrancy is a critical part of the deaf experience. The pandemic has taken that away from all communities, including us for now.鈥
